Good.is has a list of books that received the most removal requests by libraries. While I think there are specific books that may not be the most appropriate reading material per age group, I don’t ever think a book should be banned/removed nor do I think that books not appropriate for an age group can ever/should be controlled. Every book has its place. A number of books on this list are actually favorites of mine:
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
- To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
- Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
